After his graduation in economics Aart pursued a career in the ICT Consulting industry. Between 1996 and January 2013 he worked in different positions at various companies. His primary focus in these positions was business / IT transformations, consulting, commercial and operational management. In 2013, he started in his current position as CIO at Damen Shipyards Group, managing the digital transformation and supporting the company growth by structuring the global information and setting high standards on the availability, security and accessibility of Damen’s IT infrastructure. In 2019 he was nominated as “CIO of the year” in the Netherlands.

After his graduation in Logistics & Traffic Engineering Pieter-Paul pursued a career as consultant within the ERP application software. Between 2007 and 2013 he worked on implementation projects at various companies within the Maritime & Offshore, Engineering, Supply Chain and Energy market. Within these projects he develop a broad perspective and experience on business processes and the supporting enterprise applications. In 2013 he joined Damen Shipyards specifically for the implementation of the ERP application at their yards in Romania and Vietnam. After the successful implementations he started to focus on processes, information, applications and business alignment initiatives with the primary goal of continuous improvement and digital alignment. Since 2020 he started the IT Cost Optimization program to drive spending and cost reduction, while maximizing business value.

Peter graduated in 1996 in Computer Science at the University of Twente and started a career in IT. He has been in several positions like IT Consultant, IT Architect, Manager IT (various positions), Program Manager and Benchmark Consultant before he founded It’s Value in 2009. The purpose of It’s Value is to help companies to manage their IT spend as optimally as possible to improve the company’s performance. In the past 12 years It’s Value has delivered many projects to create cost transparency to enable cost control and support decision making. All meant to improve the IT value to make IT a business enabler instead of a cost burden.
